Mauritius : growing trend for italian arrivals at the end of 2015

Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority, Tourism Authority of Mauritius, announced the data of tourist flows of 2015, reporting a double digit growth of the Italian market in the last months of the year.

The destination has indeed recorded in the fourth quarter of 2015 a trend of increase of 10.6% over the same period of 2014; particularly positive in December, which marked a significant increase of + 12.5%, with 4,255 arrivals from Italy. The Italian market has ended 2015 by recording more than 29,000 visitors.

The results of the last months of 2015 are launching a positive sign for the New Year, in which the Tourism Authority of Mauritius expect a further growth in a perspective of constant development. Following the excellent results achieved this year, it is expected that in the coming months the trend continues to grow, thanks to the return of a high spender customers. The aim of the Tourism of Mauritius for 2016 is to further increase arrivals Italians, through targeted projects and activities aimed at the main target of the destination, the honeymooner and the families.
