Ryanair, Italy’s No 1 airline, appointed AIGO as its new PR agency for Italy. Carrying 116 million passengers p.a. on more than 1,800 daily flights connecting over 200 destinations in 33 countries, Ryanair is Europe’s favourite airline. AIGO, a marketing and communications consulting agency based in Milan that has been working in the tourism, hospitality and transport field since 1990, brings extensive airline and travel industry experience and will support and develop all of Ryanair’s public relations and media activity in the Italian market.
In 2016, Ryanair will carry over 30m customers to and from Italy at 26 Italian airports, operating over 360 Italian routes and supporting over 22,500 local jobs.
“Following an extensive tender, we are pleased to announce AIGO as our new PR agency for Italy. The team are vastly experienced in the airline and travel industry sectors and we look forward to working with them. Italian customers will save over €3.1bn by flying on Ryanair’s low fares this year, as we carry over 30m customers”, stated John Alborante, Sales and Marketing Manager for Italy.
Massimo Tocchetti, AIGO President, shares the enthusiasm for the partnership and said: “It is an interesting challenge for AIGO and we are very happy to accept it. Ryanair is not only a leading airline in numbers, but also a great innovator in air transport and, more broadly, in the way of making tourism. In this aspect we found great affinity and harmony: it will be a very exciting partnership.”
