Almost two years after its opening, The Brando, eco-luxury resort located in the private atoll of Tetiaroa in French Polynesia, continues to collect awards from the most prestigious international magazine for its green vocation and excellent hospitality. Latest additions to the long list of awards are “Best Luxury Eco Tourism Property 2016” and “Best Overseas Resort 2016” both conferred to the resort for the second consecutive year by Luxury Travel Magazine, the most authoritative magazine dedicated to Australian luxury travel.
The Brando was once again awarded as the perfect example of sustainable development in the luxury hotel business scene. The resort boasts a self-sustainability that is almost complete due to its pioneering air conditioning system fed by the waters of the ocean (seawater air-conditioning system-SWAC) and the use of renewable sources such as solar energy and combustion of coconut oil. The materials used for the construction of the resort and its comfortable and luxurious villas come with a locally sourced certificate, that is renewable or consists of recycled components.
