The Sultanate of Oman affirms itself among the leaders of the world tourism scenario by placing among the  top ten in the list of safest destinations in the world. Furthermore, it has achieved excellent results in terms of international and domestic arrivals.

According to the latest data, the Sultanate recorded a + 6.5% of arrivals from January to December 2015 (33,915 vs. 31,858 Italians in 2014), with a peak in December of Italian vs. 4,871 5,200 in the same period of 2014. Overall, in 2015 the Sultanate hosted more than 2 million tourists from around the world. From 2010, Oman has recorded an average annual growth rate of 30% in arrivals from Italy.
Currently, the Italian market is the fourth largest market in Europe and the sixth international market after the GCC, India, France, UK and Germany: these data position Oman as a tourist destination continues to grow.

There’s more good news: the 2015 edition of the Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Report prepared by the World Economic Forum (WEF) sees Oman in the top 10 in the category ‘Safety and security’.  Oman ranked ninth in the list,  which assesses 141 countries all over the world. The demonstration of the fact that the country is among the safest in the world is a positive indicator for the tourism industry growing in the Sultanate of Oman and a confirmation for tourists who continue to choose the country as a tourist destination of excellence.
