Oman wins the first edition of ‘Italia Travel Awards’

The Sultanate of Oman has been awarded the Travel Oscar at the Italia Travel Awards, who voted it as the ‘Best Destination’. The voting process for this first edition of the prize dedicated to the Italian tourism sector lasted 6 months and saw the participation of 6,500 travel agents and travelers.
“This award is a great satisfaction for us, as well as an important recognition of the commitment and efforts of these years,” says Massimo Tocchetti, AIGO President and Representative in Italy of the Office of Tourism of the Sultanate of Oman. “We are confident that Italy Travel Awards will further contribute to the reputation of the country by creating a positive buzz among Italian travelers,” Tocchetti continued.
