Oman is a country full of incredible beauty to explore. And Tourism Week, which will bring the Oman Pavilion at Expo 2015 to life from 18 to 26 July, is dedicated to tales of travel. In a series of discoveries you will be able to admire the country’s expanses of desert, crystal-clear sea, forts and cultural trails. Promoted by the Omani Ministry of Tourism, in partnership with the Omani Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Oman Sail, The Royal Opera House of Muscat and the national airline Oman Air, Tourism Week will allow you to experience the Arabian Nights over nine days at Expo.
A packed programme of events will bring the Decumano to life in the daytime. Tour operators and experts visitors will give information on the special tours, as the exclusive 1000 Nights Camp with its tents nestled between the dunes and the magic of the desert. From 6.30 pm, for the whole week, the pavilion will host talk shows with top guests, such as Mohsin Al Busaidi, an Oman Sail team member, the first Arab to sail non-stop around the world. There will be musical treats in the afternoon, thanks to the contribution of the prestigious Oman Air and its “Oman the Sound of Music” with the Adorno Quartet and the Royal Opera House of Muscat, along with the classic ritual of dates and lemon mint. Finally, any trip worth its salt has to include fine cuisine. All week there will be a special happy hour held in the Al Sablah restaurant, offering a taste of Arabia. Furthermore all visitors of the Pavilion from 18 July to 31 October can participate to the contest “Win Oman” with up for grabs a special Omani trip.
