Big celebrations for the Grand Opening of JW Marriott venice Resort & Spa, the brand new Marriott International’s resort located in Venice on a private island, Isola delle Rose. Mr. Bill Marriott kicked off the celebrations, with a welcome reception on the spectacular rooftop terrace. During their stay, guests had the opportunity to attend special activities to live the JW Marriott Venice experience: Venetian Cicchetti cooking classes, visit to the exhibition of Salgado with Illy, coffee and chocolate tastings with Illy and Donori, Italian cocktail classes, Murano glass workshops, yoga and treatments at GOCO Spa Venice, and much more. The celebrations culminated with Grand Opening Gala, a sensory and interactive tour of the Island of Roses, that for the occasion featured special stations dedicated to the islands of the Venetian lagoon, followed by a gala dinner curated by chef Giancarlo Perbellini, music and entertainment.
