The Dominican Republic’s Tourism Authority also this year participates to NF in Bergamo (Stand A13), the famous tourist fair from September 25 to 26 with many new features. This appointment is one of the most significant business to business for the Italian tourist market, also to meet national and international buyers and sellers.
The fair is an interesting platform for discussion and debate around the world of tourism, to learn new developments in the industry and to seek new ideas in order to promote better our Country – as declared by Neyda Garcia, Director of Dominican Republic Tourism Board in Italy.
An important turning point concerns the cruise industry in October 2015 which will see the inauguration of the new terminal, operated by Carnival Corporation in the Bay of Maimon in Puerto Plata and October 6th, Amber Cove will welcome the first ship. Entrepreneurs and local tourism authorities have predicted the arrival of more than 400,000 cruise passengers yearly to this terminal that can receive more than one ship at a time and will be the largest in the country.
