AIGO and NYC&Co meet journalists and operators during the NYC Media & Sales Mission
News 15 April 2015AIGO in partnership with NYC & Company, organized and coordinated the NYC Media & Sales Mission, a series of events to present the new New York City that took place in Rome and Milan on April 13th and 14th 2015 for press, travel agents and tour operators. In total, 42 journalists and 218 travel agents and tour operators attended the events.
Fred Dixon, President and CEO of NYC & Company, Chris Heywood, Senior Vice President of Global Communications of NYC & Company, and Reginald Charlot, Vice President of Tourism Development Europe of NYC & Company welcomed the guests along with a delegation of nine representatives of the City travel industry. The official sponsors of the event were Emirates and Norwegian Cruise Lines.
On April 13th the delegation was in Rome and hosted training meetings at the headquarters of Idee Per Viaggiare and I Viaggi del Mappamondo, and an event for travel agents and operators at the MAXXI Restaurant, including presentations and one-to-one meetings. The Penthouse Suite of the Palazzo Montemartini Hotel was the location for the media briefing, open to representatives of the Roman press.
On April 14th, in the exclusive location of Bar Martini Dolce & Gabbana in Milan, the tour operators met New York City tourism industry reps during a lunch followed by one-on-one meeting, travel media attended the press briefing and lunch and learned about the initiatives of NYC & Company and all the news regarding the Big Apple. In the evening, a great event for travel agents took place in the same location. On the occasion of the first day of the Milan Design Week, NYC & Company also hosted a cocktail reception to present NYCxDESIGN, the most important event dedicated to global design that will be held in New York City from May 8th to May 19th 2015. The event took place at the Triennale di Milano.
