Fondazione Mont’e Prama chooses AIGO for the communication of the Giants exhibition at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art
News 6 June 2023Opening on May, 25 at the Met, the Mont’è Prama Giants exhibition aims to promote overseas the archaeological site of the necropolis in the Sinis hills of Cabras, epicenter and focus of the Mont’è Prama Foundation‘s legacy work.
The centerpiece of the exposition is the Stone Giant “Manneddu,” also known as the “boxer,” made of limestone, nearly two meters high and dating from around 900-750 B.C. Displayed at the beginning of the impressive collection of Greco-Roman art, Manneddu will be Sardinia’s ambassador in New York and will narrate island’s history by connecting Sardinia to the Big Apple.
Following the positive balance of 2022, the collaboration with the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York offers the ideal stage to promote Nuragic culture and increase the flow of visitors to the sites under the Foundation’s presidency, considering the three million visitors per year only to the Greco-Roman section of the Museum on New York’s Fifth Avenue.
AIGO will be in charge of the communication related to the exhibition running until December 6, 2023 at the prestigious museum in the Big Apple.
