If there was a right year to visit Hawai‘i, 2016 would be the perfect year. This year, the island of Maui has been voted by Tripadvisor users as the most beautiful island in the world, marks the 75th anniversary of the battle of Pearl Harbour and the centenary of the Volcanoes National Park. Also, the islands of Hawai’i will welcome a number of new attractions and accommodations, among the most important news will be: the reopening of the Four Seasons Resort Lāna‘i after a multimillion dollar renovation; the opening of the first Hilton Garden Inn of Hawai’i, located by the sea in Kaua’i; will open also the first Ritz-Carlton Residences in Hawaii on Waikīkī Beach, O’ahu; in O’ahu will also open the Four Seasons Resort in the village of KoOlina and will be the fifth hotel of the brand in Hawaii; finally, the latest innovation is the product of restructuring  of Hilo Naniloa Hotel and Golf Club, the DoubleTree by Hilton on Hawai’i Island.

Also a lot of gastronomic news, opening the vegan restaurant Ai Love Nalo on the island of O’ahu, whose mantra is to prepare dishes accessible to all preparing dishes with ingredients bought from local producers, up to cooking classes Ka‘ana Kupboard to be held at the Wailea Resort with the famous chef of Ka’ana Kitchen’s Ben Marquez.

Among other innovations that will provide Hawai‘i in 2016 is the arrival of the traveling exhibition LEGO® Brick Art, which features 14 nature-themed sculptures created with more than 378,000 LEGO bricks, installed in the National Tropical Botanical Garden of Kaua‘i. This year will also re-open an important trade center, the International Market of O’ahu, revitalization of the famous Waikīkī International Market Place closed in 2014.

The two key events for Hawai’i will be the Kona Coffee Festival (4-13 novermbre), the oldest of Hawai’i Island festival and the parade of the 75th anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor (December 7).
