Massimo’s passion for travelling and discovering places, cultures and peoples was the premise of what later became his profession. His journey in tourism began at Best Tours – a tour operator specialising in high-end products – where he soon took on the role of Marketing & Communication Director, dealing with destinations, products and some international brands such as Sun International hotels and Presidential Nile Cruises.
With these premises, the AIGO project matured. With the aim of creating a heterogeneous team of professionals, providing consultancy in marketing and communication for the world of tourism, transport and hospitality, producing projects and implementing business plans in an efficient and measurable way. In 1990 Massimo founded AIGO.
In 2007 he is among the founding partners of Pangaea Network, of which he is President until 2017. From 2018 to 2021 he is part of the board of Travel Consul, an international network of independent agencies specialising in tourism marketing and communication. Since 2022 he has been part of MMGY Travel Marketing Collective, an alliance created by the MMGY Global group with the aim of providing consultancy and optimising multi-market synergies in international projects, while maintaining a high level of specificity and local knowledge.
Massimo maintains institutional relations with national and international entities, helps draw the strategic lines of plans for clients, and works on the evolution of the agency, which today no longer looks at tourism in the strict sense, but more broadly at the movement of flows, territories and the theme of hospitality.
Massimo’s professional training includes: Marketing & Communication Management at CESMA, Advanced Marketing at the IPSOA Institute, Marketing Management with Philip Koetler and Communications Management with Heinz Goldman.
