Massimo Tocchetti

Massimo’s passion for travels and discovery of new and different cultures was the basis of his profession. His career in tourism began within Best Tours – a tour operator specialising in high-end products – where he soon became Marketing & Communication Director – dealing with the promotion of both tourist destinations, mainly in Africa, Middle East, Indian Ocean and Caribbean, and international brands such as Sun International hotels and Presidential Nile Cruises.

On the basis of this experience, he matured the project of AIGO: to build a team of professionals who can efficiently produce projects, implement business plans and provide advice in marketing and communication for tourism, transport and hospitality. Massimo founded AIGO in 1990.

Together with two other partner agencies, in 2007 he founded the Pangaea Network, an international network of independent agencies specialising in tourism consulting, marketing, and communication, of which he was chairman until 2017. From 2018 to 2021, he served as a board member of Travel Consul, . This organisation later evolved into MMGY Global Travel Marketing Collective, an alliance designed to optimise multi-market synergies and international projects, maintaining high specificity and local knowledge, but providing clients with a global vision and a single point of contact.

Massimo maintains institutional relations with both national and international partners, clients and institutions, helps to draw the lines of strategic plans for clients, works on the constant renewal of the agency’s vision and its development, which no longer looks to tourism in the strict sense, but in a more extensive handling of tourist flows and hospitality.

Massimo’s professional training includes: Management and Marketing & Communication at CESMA, Advanced Marketing at the IPSOA Institute, Marketing Management with Philip Koetler and Communication Management with Heinz Goldman.
