Last Friday in Trieste, the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region presented its new 2026–2028 Tourism Strategic Plan, in the presence of Regional President Massimiliano Fedriga, Regional Councillor for Productive Activities and Tourism Sergio Emidio Bini, Paolo Pascolo for IMILLE, and Alessandra Bitetti for AIGO.
Developed collaboratively by AIGO and I MILLE in partnership with PromoTurismoFVG, the Plan represents a significant shift in perspective, placing the traveller at the heart of strategy. The region’s tourism ecosystem is now envisioned as an interconnected network, where infrastructure, promotion, and products work seamlessly together to respond to visitor interests, needs, and behaviours, guiding them through the entire customer journey.
The strategic framework is structured around four key objectives:
-
Optimising tourist flows to ensure smooth and efficient experiences.
-
Enhancing the quality and sustainability of the tourism offer across the region.
-
Integrating distribution channels to create a cohesive system for visitors.
-
Guiding travellers through advanced digital tools, supporting informed decisions, encouraging longer stays, and simplifying the journey throughout the region.
This Plan marks a decisive step toward a tourism vision that is increasingly data-driven, integrated, and people-centred, reinforcing Friuli Venezia Giulia’s commitment to delivering meaningful, memorable, and sustainable experiences for all visitors.
